Call for Animation Artist
Wild Mint Arts is hiring an animation artist to complete

4-5 minutes of new animation

To extend a previous rotoscope animation by 1-2 minutes.
The artwork and concept is already created and we are looking for someone who can bring this idea to life. The animations would be used in an upcoming dance show that premieres May 1st 2027. Please send a portfolio and a resume/CV along with 3 references from past projects.
The deadline for applications is April 30th
The deadline for completion is June 15th, 2026
Compensation is total $3000. 30% deposit upon contract signing and invoice, remainder of 75% to be paid out when files are transferred and in the proper formats
Call for Set Designer and Builder
We are looking for a collaborative set designer/builder to start designing and building set pieces for our new work “They Carry Us”. Set pieces should be able to break down into portable portions and meet the aesthetic design of our work. Please submit a resume, a portfolio of past work, and a letter of interest on why you would like to work with us. As part of this collaboration, the successful set designer/builder will participate in several cultural meetings as this work is based deeply in Blackfoot worldview.
We do prioritize the hiring of IBPoC and 2SLGBTQIA* performers.

This project aims to be complete by June 30th., 2026.
Compensation: $4000 includes artist fee and materials budget

Call for Dancers
We are hiring 3-4 dancers to workshop choreography for our new piece “They Carry Us”. Community dancers, professional dancers, and recreational dancers/movers/theater artists are welcome from all backgrounds and 18+ ages. We are asking for at least 1 year of experience performing. We do prioritize the hiring of IBPoC and 2SLGBTQIA* performers. Please send your CV/resume, a letter of interest, and a video of yourself performing.

When: June 9-17th 2026 .
Total Hours: There will be a total 30 hrs of rehearsal, 10 hours of tech rehearsal and 1 WIP showing.
The rehearsal schedule can be negotiated based on dancer availability.
*Dancers must be available to teach 1 community dance workshop for Indigenous dancers during this time.
Compensation: $35/hr for rehearsals $30/hr for tech rehearsals $400/WIP showing $300/workshop
Each dancer will sign a contract, and must submit invoices for payment.

Have you always been interested in learning to dance? We are offering free adult powwow dance classes in Exshaw on Tuesday evenings. Classes are 7-8 pm and are on the following dates for this spring.
